Tibetan Gazelle

The gazelle is a type of antelope that is unique to the Plateau and is a Class-B protected animal. They often crowd together in small groups on the grassy plains or beside highways. Snowy-white buttocks and curved horns are their hallmark characteristics. If the gazelles allow you to walk near them, it is clear evidence that the local people and past visitors have been careful not to disturb or scare them. Therefore, please be careful in preserving the gazelles’ trust in humans.
