for Eco-tourism

What is Eco-tourism?
Eco-tourism is responsible travel that respects natural areas, conserves natural resources and biodiversity, and improves the well-being of local people.

Cuochi
Cuochi is located in the middle of Tongtian River Wildlife Refuge, Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve. It is the closest Tibetan community to Geermu and the second largest city in Qinghai Province. The entire Sanjiangyuan Nature Reserve is located in the central portion of the Tibetan Plateau. It is called the Earth’s “Third Pole,” and three major Asian rivers originate here, also earning it the name “Source of Life.” The native people here are Tibetan herdsmen. Over centuries of learning how to survive in this harsh climate, they have developed a truly sustainable culture, and not only survive on the plateau, but thrive and live colorfully in their traditional Tibetan culture. Besides experiencing traditional pastoral life, tourists can marvel at the vast grassland, and experience the beauty of the Tongtian River, Yanzhanggua Valley, and the rock mountains and glaciers.
